Newark football rallies back to beat Glasgow 22-18

Friday was football night in Newark as the Yellow Jackets rallied back to beat the Glasgow Dragons 22-18.

The Dragons started fast as quarterback Lammot Brown would score on a couple of rushing touchdowns in the first quarter. Glasgow would miss both 2-point conversions as they took the lead 12-0.

Newark would answer back in the second as quarterback Ben Campbell would take the handoff and run it in for the rushing score. He would also run in the 2-point try as Newark battled back to a 12-8 score going into halftime.

In the third quarter Glasgow's Lammot Brown would add another rushing touchdown for the Dragons, he would finish the night with three rushing touchdowns total. The 2-point conversion was again no good as the Glasgow took a 18-8 lead at the end of the quarter.

Newark would rally back in the fourth as both captains would find the Glasgow end-zone. Running back Austin Lockett ripped the defense with a gashing rushing touchdown at the 8:57 mark and after a missed 2-point try the Yellow Jackets would trail 18-14. Quarterback Ben Campbell would complete the comeback for Newark as he found receiver Darryl Chambers for the passing touchdown with just 22 seconds left in the game. Newark would run in the 2-point conversion and run away with the win 22-18.
