The event takes place on October 19th from 8 am until 2 pm, and it will be in the handicapped parking lot at the fairgrounds.
"Each resident is allowed to bring 10 tires. They have to be passenger car tires or light duty truck tires. No tires over 31-inches and no rims," says DNREC Adminstrative Specialist Tara Grazier.
You have to be a Delaware resident, and bring proof of residency in the form of a utility bill or driver's license.
The next scrap tire recycling event will be in the spring, and most likely in the Middletown area.
