State Police say a woman has been shot in the head in Selbyville, and her next-door neighbor has been charged with attempted murder.

Troopers responding to a 911 call at about 3:20 a.m. Tuesday found the victim sitting outside an SUV in front of a home on Hosier Street. She was flown to Christiana Medical Center, where police say she is in critical condition.

Officers say the victim's neighbor, 18-year-old Devon Gordon, had met with her in the SUV and shot her. Authorities say Gordon also fired shots in his home, where his mother and another adult live.

Gordon is charged with two counts of attempted murder. He is being held on $310,000 cash bond.
