North Jetty Repairs Begin at Del. Seashore State Park
By Kelli Steele

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers contractors began repair work today on the north side of the Indian River Inlet jetty, located within Delaware Seashore State Park.

Construction work is concentrated on the eastern portion of the jetty, and the project will also repair the collapsed sidewalk.

Public access to the eastern section of the north jetty will be closed during the duration of the project, which is expected to take 90 days.

Delaware Seashore State Park’s day areas on the north side of the inlet, which are not affected by construction, will remain open to fishing and other outdoor recreational activities.
