Delaware Indoor Track Championship finds new (distant) home
By Sean Greene

After being shut out from its long time home, the DIAA found a new home for its Indoor Track championship, at the D.C. Beltway.

DIAA Executive Director Kevin Charles announced Friday that the 2013-2014 Delaware Indoor State Championship meet will be held at the Prince George’s Sports and Learning Center in Landover, MD, in the shadow of FedEx Field, home of the Washington Redskins.

The move was forced when the University of Delaware announced they were removing the track from inside the Field House next to Delaware Stadium, and replacing it with all-weather surfaces to help their football program.

The only other site with an indoor track in Delaware, Tower Hill, has been judged too small to host the state meet.
