VIDEO: Highlights and Reaction to Mount vs. Brandywine

Mount Pleasant freshman Jashawn Johnson turned a failed field goal snap into a game winning touchdown in a 20-6 victory over Brandywine Monday afternoon.

The game was tied 6-6 early in the second half when Mount Pleasant marched down to the three yard line. Leon Eckert was lining up to attempt to make his third field goal of the game when Johnson couldn't handle the snap, but quickly stood up, rolled to his left, and just snuck into the near side of the end zone for a touchdown.

Mount's defense then took advantage of an ejection of a Brandywine player, recording an interception by Ronald Shipman-Scott on an attempted Brandywine response drive, and then a big sack by Justice Grimes on another Bulldog possession.

Senior Tavio Cone then finished the scoring with a 15-yard score with 3:56 remaining, as Mount Pleasant claimed its second straight victory after starting the season 0-4.

Brandywine, whose only points came on a 2nd quarter touchdown by Stefon Johnson, dropped to 4-2.
