Wilmington police say a 31-year-old city man was shot late Monday night, making him the fifth victim of a shooting in three days.

It happened around 11:55 p.m. Monday night on the 200 block of N. Harrison St.

Police say officers were called to the area for a report of shots fired and found a man with a gunshot wound to his upper torso sitting on a porch.

The man was taken to Christiana Hospital, but police say his condition is unknown.

The initial investigation, police say, shows the victim was struck by gunfire while standing on the block when another man began shooting.
