Aaron Hudson scored three touchdowns for Caravel, as the Buccaneers cruised to a 42-6 Homecoming victory on Friday night against Glasgow.
Caravel (5-2) gained an early 13-0 lead in the first quarter. T. Jacob Shriner carried for an eight yard touchdown, and quarterback Derrick Groomes added another, when he connected with Hudson down field with 28 seconds left in the opening quarter.
With 3:52 left in the second, Glasgow (3-4) scored its only touchdown of the game. Quarterback Lammot Brown reached the end zone on the keeper. The Dragons failed at completing the two-point conversion.
Caravel continued to dominate, when a fumble recovery placed the Bucs in Dragons' territory. Hudson caught his second touchdown reception from Groomes to give Caravel the 21-6 lead at halftime.
Hudson again exploded in the third, this time with a rushing touchdown for more than 60 yards. Maverick Johnson kicked the extra point to extend the Bucs' lead.
Caravel sealed the victory with two more touchdowns in the third. Shriner scored his second of the night and Groomes found Dennis Robinson deep down field for the final touchdown of the game.
Caravel hopes to carry on its four game winning streak for Senior Recognition night as the Bucs host Silver Oak Academy (MD), while the Dragons hope to rebound against Delcastle next week.
