The former manager of a Wilmington day care center has been found guilty of endangering the welfare of a child.

It was back in March when a two year old was found standing in the middle of 4th Street, after having walked out of the Early Foundations Preschool.

Now Janet Fowler faces one year probation and will pay a $300 fine.

An investigation showed Fowler had been repeatedly told that the main door to the center couldn't be secured, but she refused to change the locks.

Fowler is also barred from working in a facility that serves children, during the term of her probation.
