Archmere takes season finale against Concord

Archmere's Madeline Kelly had 22 digs and a critical three-ace run in the 3rd set to propel the Auks to a straight-set victory at Concord Monday afternoon.
Justine Pantaleo and Amanda Olsen combined to block a Concord attack on set point to give the Auks the 25-22 win in the opening stanza of the non-conference matchup.
The second set swung back and forth, with the Auks jumping ahead 5-2, onlty to see the Raiders ralley and take three-point leads of their own at 17-14, 20-17, and 23-20.
Victoria Falasco's ace tied the set at 23, and the Auks were able to escape with a 27-25 second set victory.
Archmere's Olsen smacked a kill as part of an opening 7-1 run to seemingly put the match away, but the Raiders tied the set at 9 on a block by Abigail Dischert two points after Jessica Fyock's ace. Concord would have 12 aces on the night.
The Auks' defense held on, as they won the final set 25-19 to end their regular season at 12-3 with a 7-game winning streak.
Concord also wrapped up their campaign at 12-3, and will await their opening round matchup in the state tournament which is set for Saturday.
