Headmaster investigated on child abuse allegations
By Associated Press

Court records show the former headmaster of a Wilmington private school is under investigation for allegedly sexually abusing two adolescent brothers about 30 years ago and another boy more than 10 years ago.

Fifty-three-year-old Christopher Weeler turned himself in to police Friday and is facing 25 child pornography charges.

The News Journal reports that according to a search warrant affidavit, Wheeler admitted to one of the brothers in a letter this summer that he had sexually abused him more than three decades ago. Wheeler's lawyer, Thomas Foley, declined to comment on the sexual abuse allegations.

The affidavit says one of the brothers told his family about the abuse in the wake of the Penn State scandal involving former assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky.
