VIDEO: Highlights, Reaction, and the Celebration from Padua's repeat State Championship

Padua's Allyson Jennings emphatically slammed down Championship Point for her 16th kill, as the No. 1 Pandas swept No. 11 Tower Hill to win the 2013 DIAA Volleyball Championship.

Tower Hill gave the defending champions plenty of trouble in an opening set which featured 21 ties, with no team stretching the lead beyond 3 points.

It took 4 set points, but Jennings finally was able to hit off of the Tower Hill block into the net to finish off a 28-26 frame.

That momentum continued into the second set, as the Pandas raced out to a quick 8-2 advantage ending with a pair of Jennings' kills. Elizabeth Wuerstle tried to keep the Hillers alive with a block and a couple of kills, but Alison Frey's ace sparked a set-ending run which finished with Vanessa Crumety returning a Hiller overpass for a kill, and a 25-11 victory.

The 11-seeds would not be deterred, as they stretched their 3rd set lead out to 16-11 before the Pandas began to rally, tying the set at 19 on a Jen Borio slam. That point came in the midst of a 9-1 run which put Padua on the doorstep of a title at 24-20.

Tower Hill then claimed the next three points, but on the 4th Championship Point, Jennings took a pass from Sarah Cushing and found a gap in the backline of the Hillers defense to end the title, and a perfect 19-0 season for Padua.

Borio led Padua with 17 kills, while Jennings had 16 along with 8 digs.

Tower Hill, playing in their first ever DIAA Volleyball Championship Match, ended their season at 15-4.
