Police: Man grabbed cellphone from woman waiting for bus

Wilmington police are looking for the man who snatched a cellphone from a woman waiting for a bus Thursday afternoon.

It happened shortly before 5:42 p.m. at the 1100 block of King Street.

Police say a 26-year-old city woman was listening to music on her cell phone while waiting for a DART bus on a bench when a man grabbed her phone. He then fled northbound on King Street.

The suspect is described as black, 20 to 25 years old, 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighing 165 to 180 pounds. Police say he was described as wearing as all dark clothing at the time of the robbery.
