Wilmington police are looking for the masked man who robbed a city nail salon at gunpoint Friday night.

It happened about 8 p.m. in Nail and Beauty Doctor LLC, located at 1406 Lancaster Avenue.

Police say a man with a handgun forced his way into the salon as an employee was trying to close up shop.

The suspect demanded money from two female employees, who reside in Philadelphia and are 35 and 41 years old. Both women complied and began screaming for help, and police say the suspect fled in an unknown direction.

The suspect is described as black, 24 to 30 years old, 6 feet tall and weighing 140 pounds. He was wearing a red baseball cap with white lettering, a red zipper or button up jacket with white lettering and white cuffs and neck, blue jeans, black shoes and a black ski mask.

Anyone with information can call the Wilmington Police Criminal Investigations Division at (302) 576-3620 or the Wilmington Police Confidential Tip Line at (302) 576-3990.
