The last three meetings between Hodgson and Caravel resulted in Caravel victories. The No. 2-seeded Silver Eagles changed the outcome in the semifinals match up as Hodgson cruised to a 48-0 win on Saturday afternoon.

Hodgson (10-2) took a 14-0 lead in the opening quarter, when Justin Hardy went left battling a number of Buccaneers' defenders then went right to find an open lane and scored a 66 yard rushing touchdown.

Daniel Diggs, who scored on the first Hodgson drive of the game, opened the second quarter with his second rushing touchdown.

The Silver Eagles scored three more touchdowns before the half. Quarterback Ray Jones rushed for a 27 yard touchdown, Casey Lee caught a 50 yard touchdown reception from Jones, and Bilal Nichols caught a 25 yard touchdown reception to close out the first half. Hodgson held on to a 42-0 lead.

In the final quarter, the Silver Eagles added one last touchdown, when Donte Newell intercepted a Caravel pass and ran it in the end zone.

Fifth-seeded Caravel finished its season 8-4.
