Two state troopers are recovering from injuries after trying to apprehend a man with heroin in Wilmington.

The troopers were part of the Governor's Task Force working in the city when they witnessed a drug transaction Thursday night on North Market Street.

The suspect got violent as one of the troopers tried to handcuff him. He even tried to take a trooper's Taser.

Both troopers suffered hand injuries. One was also hurt in the leg. Both were treated at Wilmington Hospital.

The suspect, David Rhoades of Townsend, was also treated at the hospital. Troopers found 104 bags of heroin in his coat. He's facing a bunch of charges.
