By Michelle Provencher 6:58pm, January 11, 2014An attempted robbery of a Newark bank ends abruptly Saturday morning, sending the suspect home empty-handed.
State Police say the suspect entered the T-D Bank, at 101 Hygeia Drive, just after 10 a.m.
The suspect allegedly passed a note to a bank teller demanding cash, but as the teller began unlocking the money drawer, the suspect fled.
No one was injured.
The suspect is described as a black male between 35 and 45 years old, standing about 5'11" with an average build and wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt.
There is no surveillance footage.
The attempted robbery is still under investigation.
