Newark man busted on drug, weapons charges
By Jim Hilgen

A Newark man faces drug and weapons charges after failing to stop for a traffic violation and crashing his van.

State troopers attempted to stop Reginald Kornegay for a vehicle registration violation Saturday afternoon.

The suspect crashed his van on Whitaker Road near Old Baltimore Pike at which time officers say they found some heron and marijuana.

At the suspect's residence troopers found a sawed-off shotgun, an ounce of marijuana packaged for sale and more than $10,000 in suspected drug money.

Kornegay is in the Young Correctional Institution awaiting bail.
