VIDEO: Highlights and Reaction to Charter's victory

Charter School of Wilmington's defense forced 16 turnovers while Megan Waltz scored 14 points in a 33-17 non-conference victory at Delaware Military Academy Monday afternoon.

Open looks were hard to come by in the battle as both teams used stifling defenses to keep their opponents in check.

DMA claimed a 9-6 lead after the opening quarter when Mallory Gibson took a feed inside for a layup.

Charter would claim the lead on a three-pointer by Waltz mid-way through the second quarter, which sparked an extended 15-1 run which point them up 26-12 with just over 2 minutes to go in the 3rd quarter.

Charter's Neelam Modi's basket with a minute to go in that frame turned out to be the last made field goal of the game, as again both defenses allowed few good looks, with all combined 7 points in the 4th quarter coming at the free-throw line.

Kylie Shivery added 9 points for the Force, who improved to 8-2 on the season.

Freshman Lindsay Wolfe netted 9 to lead DMA (7-5), who had their 10th different starting lineup in 11 games.
