Delaware Tech President retiring

Lonnie George, President of Delaware Technical Community College says he's retiring at the end of June.

The former Speaker of the Delaware House of Representatives has worked at the school for almost 45 years, and spent the the last 19 as its head.

George says that along with his staff, the school created a set of values and a culture which provides for a safe, supportive, nurturing environment.

He calls leading Delaware Tech a privilege, and something that gave him opportunities to help make a difference in the lives of students, the Delaware Tech family, and the Delaware community.
