Elsmere body art business closed for health violations
By Jamie Winder

State health officials say reports of unsterile equipment have led to the closing of a body art business just outside of Elsmere.

True Heart at 1600 Kirkwood Highway was forced to close after Delaware's Division of Public Health found the business in violation of several state regulations for body art establishments.

DPH says hepatitis and HIV may have been transmitted to customers and employees through the use of unsterile equipment.

Officials say 480 people have been confirmed by the agency to have used body art services between September 2013 and February 20th at The True Heart.

DPH is contacting those individuals and encourages anyone who participated in body art activities at The True Heart during that time to get medically tested.
