Spencer comes off the bench to spark Sevens

Bo Spencer scored 23 points while dishing out 9 assists as the 87ers defeated Texas 121-117 Friday night.

After leading for much of the first half, the Sevens went in to halftime trailing the Legends 57-56. Tiny Gallon dropped in 20 points and pulled down five rebounds. Thanasis Antetokounmpo finished the game with 17 points hitting three of four shots from beyond the arch.

Legends (15-10) forward Damion James led his team with 26 points and nine rebounds. James Nunnally (24 points, five rebounds) and Melvin Ely (22 points, five rebounds) efforts were not enough to get past the Sevens.

The 87ers (10-26) return to action tomorrow, Saturday, February 22, 2014, when they travel to Erie to take on the BayHawks at 7 p.m.
