An early morning shooting in Wilmington lands a victim in the hospital.

City Police say officers responded to the 2800 block of Northeast Boulevard around 3:30 a.m. in reference to shots being fired.

Police say the man was walking on the block when he heard shots ring out, then he drove to the hospital when he realized he had been shot.

The 42-year-old man was first transported to Wilmington Hospital by personal vehicle and later transferred to Christiana Hospital for the gunshot wounds to his upper torso. He is listed in stable condition.
