UD women lose, still clinch 2nd place
By Don Voltz

Jewell Tunstull scored on a layup with 5 seconds remaining to give Northeastern a 54-53 win over the Delaware women's basketball team on Sunday.

The Blue Hens got a break, though, because losses by Drexel and the College of Charleston clinched the second seed in the league standings for the upcoming CAA tournament.

Northeastern kept Delaware from scoring over the final 5:28 of the game.

The loss drops Delaware to 18-9 overall and 10-6 in the CAA.
