Though snow accumulation totals were less than expected, Mother Nature left her mark on the southern New Castle County Monday morning.

As snow fell throughout the morning drive, visibility was affected in the Middletown area.

While school parking lots were left empty as a result of the storm, some businesses chose to clear the way for people who planned to head out and brave the roads later in the day.

Thanks to a Level One driving warning, traffic was lighter than on a typical day, with those who chose to head out, finding slow conditions, and snow covered roads.
