Veterans Denny Salisbury and Jay Knight are riding bicycles from Boston to Seattle in memory of their friend, Johnny Strong.

"Our friend that got killed overseas, he was a huge gamer, and he wanted to be a programmer before he got killed," said Salisbury.

Salisbury and Knight are riding to raise money for Child's Play Charity, which donates electronics and video games to hospitals like A.I. duPont. Salisbury also spends time playing with kids on each stop.

"It made perfect sense to go to all these hospitals and see the people who actually got the donations, the kids, the staff, it's been absolutely amazing to meet them," said Salisbury.

Their ride ends in August to coincide with the Penny Arcade Expo, a gaming festival in Seattle, that their friend Johnny Strong had planned to go to before he died in combat.

After getting wounded at war, when asked why he continues to give back, Salisbury said...

"The world wasn't going to change through war. I mean it wasn't going to change for the good at least. By charities and donating my time or just helping people in whatever way I can, that's what going to change the world, that's what's going to help."
