Caesar Rodney exploded for six runs in the 7th inning to complete a comeback and defeat Red Lion 10-5 on the road Friday afternoon.

Red Lion raced ahead 5-0 with a five-run 3rd inning, including a home run by catcher Kiara Carrier, to seemingly put the game under control.

The Riders began to chip away in the next half inning, as Stephanie Courtney's single drove home the first of three runs in the inning for Caesar Rodney.

Kyra Waston made it a 5-4 game in the 4th when she smashed a drive off the left-centerfield wall to bring home Shelby Voak.

Both teams had opportunities to score, but it remained a one-run lead for Red Lion as CR came up for their final at-bats in the 7th.

Watson led off the inning with a single, and then a couple of Red Lion errors opened the flood gates. With CR suddenly ahead 6-5, Rosa'lynn Burton connected on a 2-run double down the left-field line to make it 8-5, and then Alyssa Ball drove in two more runs with a single to complete the scoring.

Caesar Rodney improved to 7-3, while Red Lion dropped to 6-2.
