Drug Take-Back Day a success
The numbers are in, and Delaware collected almost 6,500 pounds of unwanted or expired medicine last month.

According to Public Health and the federal DEA, the most recent Prescription Drug Take-Back Day, held on April 26th, netted 6,476 pounds--the second highest total at a state held event.

Last month's collection was the ninth since Delaware began the program in May of 2010. Since then, the state has collected 40,068 pounds of unwanted or expired medicines.
