State police are investigating a crash that left two men from Marydel dead Saturday evening.

Police say alcohol may have been a factor in 27-year-old Estanislao Lopez-Berduo' s car crossing into opposing traffic on Halltown Road in Marydel. Lopez-Berduo was traveling westbound at around
10 p.m., but crossed over into the eastbound lane.

His Ford Escort hit 18-year-old Zachary Rogers' car head-on, police say. Rogers drove a Pontiac Sunfire, and was was wearing a seatbelt.

Both men were pronounced dead at the scene.

Two women in the Sunfire were transported by helicopter to Christiana Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

State police continue to investigate the crash.
