Troopers are investigating a home invasion and assault Sunday morning in Dover.

Police say up to eight men forced their way into a home in the first block of Voshells Mill Star Hill Road just after midnight.

Once inside, police say the suspects--at least two armed with handguns--assaulted two men inside and demanded money. Police say the two victims were targeted by the suspects, and that it wasn't a random attack.

The 19-year-old victim broke free and ran away. The 29-year-old man was taken to a local hospital and treated for minor injuries.

The suspects fled the home with an undisclosed amount of cash and property.
