State police say they've arrested a Hartly man for a ninth DUI offense.

A trooper was sent to the 900 block of Myers Drive for a report of a truck broken down in a driveway.

Police say 51-year-old Dale Guifoil was trying to leave a yard sale Sunday afternoon when his truck broke down. The trooper arrested him after reportedly smelling alcohol on his breath while Guilfoil sat in the driver's seat of the truck.

State police say Guifoil's eight previous convictions for DUI date back to 1993, with the latest in 2009.

Guifoil was charged with Felony DUI, Possession of a Controlled Substance without a Prescription, and driving with a suspended or revoked license.

He's now in the Sussex Correctional Institution on $10,650 secured bond.
