By Sean Greene

Luis Santos allowed three hits over six strong innings as the Blue Rocks defeated Potomac 5-1 on the road Monday night.

Santos gave up a second inning RBI double to Justin Miller, but settled down from there, giving up just two other hits while striking out 5 and surrendering just one walk.

Jared Schlehuber kickstarted the Rocks' offense in the 5th inning with his second home run of the season which tied the game in the 5th.

Raul Mondesi's 6th triple of the season and Bubba Starling's 16th double both drove in runs in the 6th inning to put Wilmington ahead for good.

Starling added an RBI single in the 8th, and Cam Gallagher hit a sacrifice fly in the 9th to complete Wilmington's 5th win in their last six games.

Game two of the four-game set is Tuesday night at 7:05.
