Police investigate attempted robbery of Wilm. restaurant

Police are investigating the attempted robbery of the Checkers Restaurant Monday at 4301 North Market Street in Wilmington.

Police say around 5:00 a.m., a man entered the restaurant and showed a handgun to the clerk, who ran into a bathroom.

The wannabe-robber then fled.
