By Amy Cherry

Two Wilmington men, who police say fired shots at an undercover cop car during a vehicle pursuit, now face attempted murder charges.

Sirair Bailey and Troy Faison were arrested Monday afternoon near West 35th and North Market Streets.

Police say Bailey and Faison led them on a car chase through Wilmington's north side during broad daylight when one of the men fired shots at the officer's car, striking the passenger side window. Both men were taken into custody after a brief foot chase. A third suspect managed to get away.

Bailey and Faison are convicted felons and have been committed to Howard Young prison. Bailey is being held on $950,000 bail while Faison is being held on $810,000 bail.
