DelDOT says the southbound side of 495 is still on-track to reopen several weeks before Labor Day.

Repairs remain ahead of schedule. Crews have just finished construction of more than 30 new underground support columns.

Work on jacking towers that will be used to lift the bridge back into alignment is still ongoing, and DelDOT hopes to begin the jacking phase sometime in the next two weeks.

If that process goes well, expect the southbound side of the bridge to reopen soon after. The northbound side will follow several weeks later.
