A 18-year-old man was shot multiple times Sunday afternoon in same block where another shooting took place on Friday, Wilmington police said.

Officers responded to the 300 block of Concord Avenue about 2 p.m. after police received 911 calls about a shooting, Cpl. Mark Ivey said.

Upon arriving at the scene, the officers found a man lying in the street, suffering from gunshot wounds to his chest, abdomen and arm, Ivey said.

Paramedics took the man to Christiana Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition, he said.

Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the shooting, which took place in the same block where a 26-year-old city man was shot multiple times late Friday night.
