Phillies have day off before Astros series
By Associated Press

The Phillies are off today as they prepare to host the Houston Astros for a series at Citizens Bank Park starting tomorrow.

Kyle Kendrick is penciled in to start tomorrow evening's opener while the Astros will start left-hander Dallas Kuechel.

The last-place Phillies managed to split their weekend series in Washington against the Nationals, dropping yesterday's finale 4-0.

Cole Hamels allowed an unearned run over seven innings but lost the decision. The Phillies were shut out for the second straight day and haven't scored in 21 innings.
