Newark native named to UD Athletics HOF
By Sean Greene

A 1999 Newark High School alum joins athletes from basketball, football, baseball, and lacrosse as part of the University of Delaware's 2014 Hall of Fame Class.

Sarah Peffer (Bozeman) won eight CAA swimming titles and set five school records while being named Delaware's Outstanding Senior Female Athlete in 2004. She returned to Delaware after spending two years at the University of Nebraska, and now works in the Wilmington Police Department.

She is joined by nine other Blue Hens: Football standouts Bill Armstrong, Joe Purzycki, and Jamin Elliot, basketball's Taurence Chisholm and Karen Conlin, baseball's Herb Orensky, lacrosse's Jennifer Rinnander, three-sport star Clyde Louth, and long-time athletic trainer Keith Handling.

The ten will be honored the night before the Delaware vs. Villanova game, and then be introduced on the field at halftime of Delaware's season finale.
