UD Football Coach K.C. Keeler discusses the team's upcoming matchup against Rhode Island
With Saturday's homecoming game looming for Delaware, the Hens' head coach says the team needs to start strong to break a two-game losing streak despite some recent injuries.

Blue Hens football coach K.C. Keeler says despite Rhode Island's 0-6 record, Delaware's loss to Maine shows that the Rams can't be underestimated.

However, he says they may need win without LB Paul Worrilow who suffered a knee injury during practice that may keep sidelined on Saturday.

Keeler also updated the status of QB Trent Hurley, who is recovering from a mid-foot sprain. He says the sophomore's status might not be clear until Wednesday.

In the event that Hurley can't start, Keeler says Tim Donnelly would fill his role, but Trevor Sasek could also see some action in on Saturday.

He says the Hens has more depth than it has had in past seasons when injuries depleted the team's starters.

The Hens are looking to break a two-game losing streak against the Rams. They dropped one spot to number 25 in this week's Sports Network poll rankings.
