Pat Irelan of Lewes says supplies of water, clothing, blankets and more were brought to a church on Staten Island Sunday.
"Through the power of social media, networking, and then just a good community, it was able to just come together really quick, and I think we could've filled 20 trucks, so it was kind of a blessing that we acted quickly, got the five full trucks that we did, and got them there as quickly as possible," says Irelan.
Irelan says he wasn't close to the most extreme storm damage on Staten Island, but says everyone was grateful for the support.
He says the region is still in need of generators and extension cords due to the ongoing lack of electricity.
