By The Associated Press 11:18am, January 21, 2013State Police say a man who ran on foot after a traffic stop has been arrested on drug charges.
It happened about 10:50 a.m. Sunday in Laurel. Authorities say a trooper saw what appeared to be a drug deal and then followed a car in which the suspect rode off.
Troopers say when the vehicle drove up on a curb, the trooper activated his emergency equipment. Police say when the car pulled over, a man got out on the passenger side and fled.
The man was apprehended, and troopers say a bag he was carrying contained cocaine, heroin, marijuana and Oxycodone pills.
Xavier Johnson of Seaford has been charged with possession with intent to deliver cocaine, heroin and marijuana. He is being held on $130,000 cash bond.
