Howard tops Polytech in DIAA Quarter Finals

Howard High and Polytech met at St. George's in the DIAA Boy's High School Basketball Quarter Finals.

After a tight first quarter Howard put together a 26-5 run in the second quarter and eventually beat the Panthers 68-53 to advance to the final four in the state tournament.

The Wildcats' Larry Woody led all scorers with 18 points, and teammate Lamont Davis added 15.

Polytech forward Antonio DePina led the Panthers' offense with 14 points.

Second seed Howard (20-1) takes on 3rd seeded Hodgson (19-3) Thursday night at the Bob.
