Tina Martin had won a conference title and made two NCAA tournament appearances before this current group of Blue Hens walked on campus up to five years ago, when they walked off the floor Saturday, she had nothing but praise.

Numerically Jaquetta May, Kayla Miller, Elena Delle Donne, Danielle Parker, Trumae Lucas, Lauren Carra, and Chelsea Craig comprised a senior class that won

"I've got some really talented kids. If you're strictly speaking about basketball, I can answer that question. But if you want to know what the most impressive thing about this group of young ladies (is), it's their character. Every day I look forward to walking on that practice floor, every day I wanted to be around them. They are kids of very high character.

You go into coaching loving kids and wanting to make a difference. I can honestly say these seven seniors: model citizens, great students, everything you'd want in a student-athlete. That's what's important to me.

Basketball wise? I don't know. The championships. Winning that second time with everyone thinking we'd get a loss from someone in our league, and it didn't happen Getting to the NCAA tournament and beating two programs with bigger budgets, bigger schools, etc. And getting two wins, and taking Kentucky and battling them toe-to-toe, what more could a catch ask for? I have so much pride right now."

The primary four years for this group saw the team go 114-32, with 2 NCAA Tournament appearances, 3 NCAA Tournament wins, 2 CAA Titles, and 2 WNIT victories.

Clearly Tina Martin measures her team in more than wins, and they passed the test easily.
