The first African American to serve as the Administrator of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) is the keynote speaker at Delaware State University's 2013 Commencement Ceremony on May 19.

Charles Frank Bolden, Jr., began his duties as the 12th NASA Administrator in 2009.

The former astronaut and retired Marine Corps Major General leads the NASA team and manages its resources.

Bolden, who was inducted into the U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame in May 2006, will address DSU graduates at the 10 am ceremony at DSU's Alumni Stadium (weather permitting).
