Winston-Salem took advantage of a Blue Rocks' error in the top of the 10th to rally past Wilmington 5-4 at Frawley Stadium Friday night.

The Blue Rocks led 4-3 going into the 9th inning, but the Dash tied the game on a sacrifice fly by Courtney Hawkins after a pair of wild pitches by Wilmington's Andrew Tiggs.

Wilmington had a chance to win the game in the bottom of the 9th following a one-out triple by Justin Trapp, but Jack Lopez and Jorge Bonifacio both grounded out to shortstop to keep the winning run 90 feet away.

The Dash made Wilmington pay in the next half inning and a single and then a throwing error by Tiggs on a pickoff attempt put Adam Heisler on 3rd base. Joey DeMichele grounded to shortstop, but the throw to first was off-line for an error, putting the Dash ahead for good.

Trapp went 4-for-5 for the Blue Rocks, finishing just a home run short of the cycle while hitting two doubles. Lane Adams added three singles while Cheslor Cuthbert hit two doubles.

Wilmington starter Kyle Smith went 6 innings to earn a no-decision after surrendering 3 runs on 5 hits. Triggs picked up his second blown save and fell to 1-2 by giving up the runs in the 9th and 10th.

Mark Tracy hit a 3-run homer for Winston-Salem in the 4th.
