The day was about more than the horse and pony races. It included an antique auto display, a parade of antique carriages, fancy hats and tailgate parties. There were also pony rides and stick horse races for the kids as well as fun for dogs.

Margaret Vavala is from Wilmington, and she enjoys the family aspect of the day.

"It's a fun day, it's a lot of family and friends, I love all the activities they have for the young kids. I love that you can bring your dog. The food is always good, the drinks are good. So, it's a great day," says Vavala.
