According to two state lawmakers, Delaware parents are more than a quarter billion dollars behind in child support payments, and it's time to do something about it.

State Representative Tim Dukes, and State Senator Bob Venables want to create a Task Force charged with exploring ways to get those behind on their payments to meet their obligations.

The Child Support Collection Task Force would consist of representatives from the Division of Child Support Enforcement, the Attorney General's Office, Family Court, lawmakers and the public

A resolution creating the group passed the House last week and now awaits action in the State Senate.
