100+ drivers cited during I-95 / Rt. 1 crackdown

State Police say more than 100 drivers were cited during a recent crackdown on speeding and aggressive driving through the Route 1/I-95 corridor.

The two-day special enforcement program last week was in response to a series of crashes as well as complaints about unsafe drivers.

Most of the tickets were for speeding.

Although a newly-opened series of "fly-overs" is improving the traffic flow, construction is also continuing in that area near Christiana Mall.

Troopers will continue to have an "increased presence" in the construction area.
