By Joe Irizarry 12:20am, November 8, 2013A C-5A will go on public display at the Air Mobility Command Museum in Dover on Saturday.
There will be a short ceremony at 10 am to symbolically transfer it to the museum from the 164th Airlift Wing of the Tennessee Air National Guard.
This is the first time ever a C-5 has been retired to a museum.
C-5's have been have been assigned to Dover Air Force Base for over 42 years, and this aircraft made its final flight in August landing at Dover so it could be prepared to be in the museum.
