Ronquise Pooler/Courtesy of Wilmington Police Department.A Pennsylvania probationer was arrested in Wilmington Monday night after police say officers discovered he had a firearm during a traffic stop.
Police say two patrol officers tried to stop a car traveling without its headlights turned on at the 1500 block of W. 4th Street around 7:50 p.m.
The car kept traveling for several blocks before police say the driver, 24-year-old Ronquise Pooler of Downingtown, Pa., pulled over and was removed from the vehicle by the officers.
Police say officers found a loaded .40 caliber handgun under Pooler's seat.
The gun had been reported stolen and Pooler is prohibited from possessing a firearm because of a prior felony drug conviction and status as a probationer. Police say he also did not have a valid driver's license.
He was committed to the Howard Young Correctional Institution in lieu of $5,601 cash bail.
